Hip & Shoulder Bursitis

Persistent ache on the outside of the hip or shoulder is often a tendon problem, not just the bursa.
Overview:
Bursitis involves inflammation of a bursa, a small fluid-filled sac that cushions joints and reduces friction between bone and soft tissue. In the hip, this pattern is often called greater trochanteric pain syndrome; in the shoulder, it typically overlaps with rotator cuff tendon irritation. In both locations, the surrounding tendons are frequently the primary source of pain rather than the bursa alone.
